Nicki Minaj reignited a public feud after taking aim at Lizzo in a late-night post following the Grammys.
On X, Minaj shared a blunt message about Lizzo’s career and recent headlines.
“Fat Lizzo lost 300 lbs just to sell 300 albums,” Minaj wrote. “So now she has loose skin and a flop album and a weird charge. Sheesh.”
Lizzo has not released a full studio album since 2022’s Special, though she dropped a mixtape in 2025. Minaj’s reference to a “charge” appeared to allude to an ongoing civil lawsuit brought by former dancers alleging harassment, claims Lizzo has denied. No criminal charges have been filed.

Tension between the artists had been brewing since December, when Lizzo reacted to Minaj’s appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest. “You’re about to see an influx of people who see that it is more profitable to join that side,” Lizzo said. “There’s money behind everything. I’m not surprised.”

The comments surfaced shortly after Trevor Noah joked about Minaj’s absence from the Grammys stage, joking, “Nicki Minaj is not here. She’s still at the White House with Donald Trump, discussing very important issues.”
Minaj later fired back online with her own remarks about Noah’s sexuality, accusing him of being in the closet.
