A Sunday service at Jamal Bryant’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church was abruptly interrupted when an uninvited street preacher entered the sanctuary and began shouting accusations while recording video on his phone.

Footage shared online shows the man standing near the entrance and condemning the congregation during worship. Church security quickly stepped in and escorted him outside. No one was hurt, and the service continued shortly afterward.

Bryant later addressed the disruption on his Let’s Be Clear podcast, calling the moment a serious breach of safety and respect.

“A white evangelical nationalist pastor had the audacity to walk into our church with his wife and use hate speech for propaganda,” Bryant said. “If we truly don’t tolerate places of worship being disturbed, then when is the arrest warrant?”

He questioned why the response seemed slower than in other recent cases involving disruptions at churches. Earlier this year, authorities arrested media personality Don Lemon following protests at a Minnesota church, after officials stressed that worship spaces must be protected.

Bryant said the incident goes beyond disagreement and should be treated as a security issue.

“This is not about debate or theology,” he added. “It is about safety inside a sacred space.”

The pastor also noted the long history of violence against Black churches and urged law enforcement to take the intrusion seriously. As of now, the preacher’s identity has not been released, and officials have not confirmed whether charges will be filed.
