Corey Holcomb is speaking out after a video surfaced last month showing him in a physical altercation withfellow comic Cristina Payne outside the Hollywood Improv.
The footage, which circulated online in January, appears to show Holcomb striking Payne during a confrontation that reportedly occurred in December 2024. The moments leading up to the incident remain unclear, though witnesses are seen stepping in almost immediately afterward. Weeks later, Holcomb sought a restraining order against Payne, claiming she initiated physical contact and hurled insults at him during the encounter.
The court ultimately denied his request.
During a recent episode of his 5150 Show, Holcomb addressed clips circulating online in which Budden and his cohosts discussed him, making it clear he was not amused.
“I got a name for him. Fruit Booty Buttons,” he quipped. “Fruit Booty Buttons is a serial woman beater.”

“You and your crew talk about that since y’all need subject matter, because y’all admit y’all watch me,” Holcomb said. “I don’t watch y’all. I just saw that clip where y’all was talking crazy about me.”
Holcomb escalated his comments by leveling serious allegations, telling listeners to research Budden’s past.
“Everybody do the homework on Fruit Booty Buttons and all of the women that have accused him of actually beating them up,” he said. “Man to man, I ain’t no punk, homie. But man to man, you a serial woman beater.”
The comedian also dismissed criticism aimed at his online persona, drawing a line between internet antics and real life. “Online, I’ll be an a–,” he said. “Man to man, I ain’t no a–.”
Budden has not publicly responded.
