ADC Raises Alarm, Denies Appointing Southwest Chairman

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied reports that the party has appointed a Southwest Chairman.

The disclaimer was contained in a statement on Thursday by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

Adbullahi added that the ADC is not inaugurating any southwest chairman at this time and urged members of the public to disregard such news.

“This is to inform the general public that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has not appointed any South West Chairman.

“Furthermore, the ADC is not inaugurating any South West Chairman at this time.

“The public is therefore advised to take note of this information and exercise caution regarding any claims or activities suggesting otherwise,” the ADC spokesperson said in the disclaimer.

Meanwhile, former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has warned his supporters, popularly known as Obidients, against insulting any member or leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.

Obi submitted that those insulting ADC members are not his true supporters, but criminals only pretending to be Obidients.

The former Anambra State Governor categorically dissociated himself from those abusing other ADC leaders, stating that he doesn’t subscribe to or support such behaviour.

Obi added that the ADC leaders are respected brothers and colleagues, hence his own supporters should not say anything bad about them.
