Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight on why photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry vanished from social media posts celebrating Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday last November.
Speaking on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, Kim addressed “Photogate” and insisted there was no drama behind the decision. “It was really innocent, which is so crazy,” Kim said. “Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.”
Kim explained that the family had approval to post the pictures at first. “We were told that it was totally cool to post,” she said. “And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party.”
Although Harry and Meghan attended a charity gala earlier that evening, Kim noted that the optics of a dance floor moment felt different. “That was fine, but maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever,” she said. “So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”
Looking back, Kim said the situation spiraled unnecessarily. “You got to laugh at the situation sometimes,” she shared. “It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that didn’t have to be.”
