The Labour Party in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has congratulated Sen. Nenadi Usman on her appointment as the chairman, Labour Party national caretaker committee.
The chairman, Labour Party, Kagarko Local Government Area, Zaphaniah Yohanna, in a statement on Tuesday, said that her appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Barr. Julius Abure led National Working Committee (NWC).
The statement noted that Nenadi Usman being one of their own from Kagarko Local Government Area, has contributed tremendously to the growth and development of the party in the local government, Kaduna State and the nation at large, particularly during the 2023 general elections.
He said, “By her track records of hard work, commitment, integrity, selfless service and vast political experience, we have no doubt that she will deploy her skills and experience to reposition the Labour Party through organizing an all-inclusive and expansive congresses from the ward, local government, state and national convention.”
He added that members of the party from the local government declared their unflinching support for her appointment, unalloyed loyalty to their great party and total commitment of their membership and stewardship of the party in Kagarko local government.
Yohana declared, “we wish to congratulate and thank the immediate past Chairman and national executive of the party for the leadership they provided during the 2023 elections and throughout their tenure. We also wish to thank His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti the executive governor of Abia State, His Excellency our party leader Mr. Peter Obi and all the party leaders and Stakeholders who answered the Clarion call to assemble in Umuahia to take the initiative to rescue our party from eminent collapse by filling the vacuum with competent and capable hands led by Sen. Nenadi Usman to midwife the process of repositioning the party.”
He called on all party faithful and leaders to support the national caretaker committee under the leadership of Sen. Nenadi Usman as they embark on the onerous task given to them.
