A humanitarian organization, Being Human Foundation For The Less Privilege (BHFTLP) has commiserated Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar
Garbai Al-Amin E lkanemi, elder statesmen and the entire citizens of Borno over the recent flood that damaged households and property on Monday and Tuesday in Maiduguri city and environs.
The foundation commended the state government swift response by opening temporary shelters at Bakasi Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp and Galtimari School for affected residents to take refuge.
A statement issued and signed on Tuesday by Hauwa Abdullahi Suleiman, the Secretary, BHFLP said that, “We enjoin everyone to keep safe in this trying time and urged stakeholders to extend aids to those in need.
“BHFLP will also support the State Government and the good people of Borno through the provision of immediate relief materials such as cooked food while we pray for an end to the flood in the state.
“We sympathize with the Executive Governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elka semi and entire Borno Citizens in this trying moment.”
