Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal (Atafarfasa) has emerged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate for forthcoming local government elections, having scored 223 votes at the primaries.
Announcing the results at the end of the primary election held at UAC House at GRA Sabon Gari, the returning officer, Ibrahim Haruna said all the party delegates and stakeholders cast their votes to the only candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal.
Haruna said having satisfied the required laws of the PDP and on the authority conferred on him, he declared Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal as the the winner and returned the candidate for the party.
Speaking on the primary election, the Chairman of the elders Committee of the PDP in Sabon Gari Local Govt Area, Hon. Bashir Ibrahim Sakadadi commended party delegates for their maturity and understanding during the process.
Bashir Sakadadi advised party members to maintain their unity and vote APC out on the election day.
He said, signs have shown that at the end of the election, PDP will emerge victorious as people have lost hope and confidence in APC administration in Nigeria.
In his acceptance speech, the PDP Chairmanship candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawal (Atafarfasa) thanked the entire PDP members for giving him the opportunity to fly its flag in the forthcoming local government elections.
Lawal sought total support and commitment from all party members from now until they win the election and meet again for the celebration.
He used the opportunity and appealed to the aggrieved members to forgive and forget the past, team up for the battle to unseat the rulling APC at the end of the election.
The primary election was attended by SIECOM representative, security personnel and PDP stakeholders.
